Santa Ponca is located in the southwest of Mallorca and belongs to the municipality of Calvià. In summer, the place is mainly populated by German and English holidaymakers. The place is also very popular with golfers, as there are some good golf courses in the area. The Costa de la Calma, a settlement with apartment houses and villas, stretches along the cliff coast almost as far as Paguera.
